Pain in the ear and ear infections are horrible experience, especially for children. Not only you have a fever that makes you weak, but must deal with the constant pain in your ear.
As autumn and winter slowly bring rain, fog and moisture in every day of the week, domestic solutions to combat such disasters are very welcome. This “do it yourself” project is very easy as you will only need socks and a little salt.
The advantage of this means of alternative medicine has been scientifically proved, without a doubt. Salt retains heat for minerals present in it, so that in combination with increased temperature can reduce the pain when the body cannot defend itself from infection.
Salt – sock is actually white cotton sock filled with coarse sea salt … and you must have clean white sock. Follow the simple instructions and make sure that the treatment of ear infections in the future will be much easier.
Need 1-1.5 cups of coarse sea salt. Must be big or it will squeeze out the socks. And it must be sea salt – common salt is not the same. Heat in a clean saucepan, over medium-low heat for 4-6 minutes – take it and shake and rotate approximately every minute to evenly heated. Heat it until it become hot, but not too much.
Instructions for salt – sock : Take a pan and heat it on the stove over medium heat. Place the coarse sea salt in a sock and tie a knot on top. Put a sock to the pan and heat it. Be careful not to overheat; you certainly do not want to burn yourself or someone else. Usually no more than 5-6 minutes for it. Put a sock to the painful ear and you will feel improvement in a few minutes.
